Michael A. Sheehan, the head of Lexington Security Group, has had a 30-year career in public service; much of it involved in counterterrorism, peacekeeping, police operations, and other security challenges. As an expert in the security field, Sheehan has written numerous publications and has frequently lectured and given speeches and appeared in the news. Since June 2006, Sheehan has been a consultant to NBC News on terrorism and security issues. He is also the author of Crush the Cell: How to Defeat Terrorism Without Terrorizing Ourselves, which reflects on much of his career in counterterrorism.
